Mondal Mr. Partha Sarathi Basu .....For the Zilla Parishad, South 24 Pgs The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner made an application before the Zilla Parishad, South 24 Parganas, for the grant of a lease in respect of a shop room. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the said application has not yet been considered by the Zilla Parishad.

The learned Advocate appearing for the Zilla Parishad submits that there are two other applications received by the Zilla Parishad for the grant of a lease in respect of the same shop room. It is further submitted that the concerned Zilla Parishad has already requested the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer to file a report to

ascertain the nature and classification of the land, but the report is yet to be filed by the Officer. It is submitted that, based on the report to be filed by the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, the Zilla Parishad will take a decision regarding the grant of lease.

In view of the above, there is no necessity to keep this writ petition pending. Accordingly, WPA 28067 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the Zilla Parishad to take a decision on the applications received by it for the grant of lease in respect of the shop room in question, after receiving the report of the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer.

Such exercise shall be completed within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

WPA 28067 of 2025 stands disposed of.
