Petitioner submits he is the Anchal President of a labour organization. No narcotics was recovered from his possession. He has been falsely implicated. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail. 2.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of members of raiding party show on source information police recovered a large consignment of phensedyl syrup from the mango orchard of one Joyanta Chowdhury. It is contended the said consignment was to be delivered to the petitioner. Investigation is in progress. Custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary to trace the manner in which narcotics was being transported.

Hence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
