By this writ petition, the writ petitioner prayed for a direction upon the respondents to allow the petitioner to register his name to enable him to appear in the examination of the 1st Semester of the course of Bachelor of Computer Applications conducted by West Bengal University of Technology in 2008.

I am of the considered view that by efflux of time the writ petition has become infructuous.

Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
