1. Directions upon the respondent authorities have been sought for to upload the electronic copies of the First Information Report in the websites concerned within 24 hours of the registration of the F.I.R. In fact, concern was expressed with regard to Kolkata Police Jurisdiction and the Howrah Police Commissionerate. Directions were issued from time to time and the reports dated 2nd April, 2025, have been filed by both the Commissionerates from which it has been seen that certain corrective measures have been taken.

2. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner also admits that there is definitely an improvement but they seek for further improvement.

3. The respondent Police administration has taken note of the observations by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the decision in Youth Bar Association of India vs. Union of India & Anr. reported in (2016) 9 SCC 473, and continue their process of updation of

the facility which is available to make it citizen friendly.

4. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
