1. The instant revisional application has been filed by the petitioner/accused seeking quashing of the entire proceeding and orders made therein in respect of G.R. Case No. 414 of 2016 arising out of Tarakeswar Police Station case No. 72 of 2016 dated March 11, 2016.

2. It is submitted on behalf of the learned advocate for the petitioner that the investigation of the case has concluded. However, the proceedings of such case is not continuing in the learned Trial Court. The petitioner has received police copies but charges yet to be framed.

3. In such facts of the case, it transpires that the revisional application has been filed for quashing of the proceeding mainly on the ground of the delay of trial. No specific case has been made out by the petitioner justifying the quashing of the entire proceeding. The instant revisional application does not contain the order sheet in order to ascertain whether delay in the disposal of G.R. case No. 414 of 2016 is attributable to the State or the present petitioner.

4. In these facts and circumstances it would be appropriate to request learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandannagar to hear and dispose of G.R. Case No. 414 of 2016 as early as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. No doubt the leaned trial Court will take every legal step for providing the attendance of the prosecution witnesses.

5. With the above observation this revisional application being CRR 5288 of 2025 stands disposed of.

6. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished expeditiously.
