Mr. Debanjan Mukherjee ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-consideration of a representation dated 23rd June, 2022 in respect of death of her son caused due to electrocution.

On behalf of the respondent-WBSEDCL, it is submitted that the claim for compensation is misconceived and untenable.

Be that as it may, the respondent no. 3, being the Chief Electrical Inspector, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order and after giving a hearing to all the affected parties. In view of the above, WPA 28142 of 2025 stands disposed of.

It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the case and all issues are left open to be decided by the concerned authority in accordance with law.

Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to be not admitted.
