For the WBMCC This court by the order dated December 11, 2025 has directed that the matter be included in the Combined Monthly List of January, 2026 under the heading "Motion" but in view of urgency, the matter was mentioned on behalf of the petitioner, accordingly the same is listed today. Mr. R. Chowdhury, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court by the judgment dated November 07, 2025 passed in WPA 25140 of 2025 (Raisa Parvin -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.) had directed the appropriate authority to consider the case of the petitioner for admission in the Medical College.

Initially, the prayer of the petitioner was not entertained as the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "WBMCC" in short) had submitted that all the seats have been filled up. Now the WBMCC is proposing to hold further counselling to fill up some vacant seats, therefore, in terms of the said judgment of the Co-ordinate Bench, the petitioner is entitled to participate in the said Counselling process.

Mr. Nag, learned advocate for the WBMCC submits that further round of counselling has not yet been announced but it would be announced very soon.

If such counselling is announced then in terms of the order of the Co-ordinate Bench which is quoted below the petitioner may be allowed to participate in the said process. "The petitioner shall be allowed to participate upon payment of online fees in the stray round of counseling, after the candidates in the entire list for the same round.

However, if ultimately after completion of the admission in the entire selection process any vacancy is available, which is not filled up within the schedule date, then the appropriate authority shall consider the case of the petitioner's admission in any medical college wherever it is situated within the scope of the entrance examination."

WPA 28081 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
