Kajol Mukherjee Mr. Jyoti Prakash Chatterjee ... for the petitioner The petitioner has challenged the order being No. 11 dated 27.06.2024 passed by the learned Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Kalna in T.S. Case No. 26 of 2017.

By the impugned order, an application under Section 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997 stood rejected. Record reveals that the petitioner appeared in the suit on 10.03.2017 and filed the application under Section 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997 only on 15.05.2017, that is, after more than two months alongwith an application under Section 5 of the Limitation Act for condonation of delay. The learned trial judge rightly held that the time limit stipulated under Section 7(2) for making deposit of the admitted arrears of rent together with the application for determination of the dispute cannot be extended by the Court.

In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. Accordingly, this civil

revisional application stands dismissed, however, without any order as to costs.
