Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has assailed the order dated 2nd April, 2024 passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly at Chinsurah in GR Case No.3264 of 2022 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him. The petitioner was on bail and failed to appear before the learned Court on 2nd April, 2024. The prayer for adjournment filed by the petitioner on that date was turned down and warrant of arrest issued against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Magistrate within a fortnight from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate within a fortnight from date and files an application for bail, the learned Court shall deal with the same in accordance with law.

In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Magistrate within the stipulated time frame, the learned Magistrate shall be at liberty to take necessary

steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

The warrant of arrest issued vide order dated 2nd April, 2024 be stayed till 20th March, 2025.

The revisional application being CRR 5049 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
