Mr. Supriyo Chattopadhyay Ms. Debosri Chatterjee ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the failure of the respondent-WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection at the residence of the petitioner.

It is submitted on behalf of the WBSEDCL that an outstanding amount in excess of Rs.40,00,000/- was due and payable by the father-in-law of the petitioner in respect of the same premises. This remains unpaid till date. It is also submitted that there has been gross suppression and distortion of the true and correct facts of the case and the petitioner has approached this Court with unclean hands.

It is obvious that the entire plea for a new service connection is a circuitous manner to wriggle out from the liability of the petitioner's father-in-law. The petitioner has approached this Court with unclean hands and there is no equity in her favour.

In view of the gross suppression of facts and misrepresentation by the petitioner, WPA 28217 of 2025 stands dismissed.
