Sengupta, Ms. Dipa Roy .... for the petitioners/applicants Mr. Bibekananda Tripathy, Mr. Kaustav Chatterjee ... for the alleged contemnor The cheque for the compound interest quantum amounting to Rs. 36,076/- has been made over to the petitioners on 22nd January, 2025. The petitioners have deposited the cheque for encashment. The learned advocate for the petitioners is, however, without the instruction whether the cheque has been encashed or not.

Be that as it may, the order under contempt has been complied with. The contempt application is disposed of by recording compliance.

However, in the event the cheque is dishonoured, the petitioners shall be entitled to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
