Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of AC 197 of 2018 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 10th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that the case is pending before the learned trial Court since 2018.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. CRR 5053 of 2024 is disposed of.
