Public Prosecutor Ms. Trina Mitra ... ... for the State Heard the learned advocate appearing for both the parties. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the principal accused. He fired at the victim resulting in his death. He does not stand on the same footing with co-accused viz. Avijit Bhattacharjee @ Abhijit @ Abhijeet Bhattacharya @ Bhattacharjee, who has been enlarged on bail. Under such circumstances and in view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
