Rangila Bibi And ORS. v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA
Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction Appellate Side W.P.A. 28353 of 2022 + CAN 1 of 2023 Rangila Bibi & Ors.
VS The State of West Bengal & Ors Mr. Robiul Islam Mr. Raju Mondal .... For the petitioner Ms. Chaitali Bhattacharya Mr. Mrinal Kanti Biswas .... For the State Mr. Robiul Islam, learned advocate appearing Court No. 22 18.5.2023 (Item No. 13) (AB) for the petitioners submitted that, the grievance of the writ petitioners stood redressed. The petitioners have no further claim. As such, the writ petitioners prayed for dismissal of this writ petition as not pressed. Ms.
Sabana Hassim, learned advocate appeared for proposed interveners/applicants in CAN 1 of 2023 and submitted that, the proposed interveners had their independent claim on the identical issue.
Considering the submissions made on behalf of the proposed interveners, it appeared to this Court that once the petitioners prayed for their claim stood satisfied and they are no more willing to proceed with this writ petition, naturally the application fails. However, the proposed interveners/ applicants shall be at liberty to pursue their claim strictly in
accordance with law, if they can maintain their claim in law.
With the above observation, this writ petition being W.P.A. 28353 of 2022 along with I.A. No. CAN 1 of 2023 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs.
