.... Petitioner Mr. Snehansu Majumder ...for the petitioner Mr. Imran Ali Ms. Ayana Dey ..for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that an altercation ensued between parties over a frivolous matter. The injury suffered was not grievous.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statements of witnesses including the victim and the injury report. He submits that the petitioner is the principal accused who had stabbed the victim with a scissor at the left lower back of the victim. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
