The petitioner further submits that he is innocent of the charges and the other accused persons have been released on bail.

Learned advocate prays that as, charges have not been framed till date, on any stringent condition, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. Learned advocate for the State submits that the petitioner has been absconding for a considerable period of time even after knowing that a criminal case is pending. Having considered the quantum of seizure and the delay which has occasioned because of the petitioner evading the process of law, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1621 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
