The petitioner's claim for grant of annual increment in terms of the Government Order No.118-SE/S/10M-29/16 dated February 6, 2018 is alleged to be kept pending at the end of the Joint Director of Accounts (SE), Purba Bardhaman since 2024. The petitioner prays for release of a sum of Rs.92,439/-.

In the absence of the respondents, it is not possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively.

As it appears that the claim of the petitioner has reached the office of the Joint Director of Accounts (SE), Purba Bardhaman, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director of Accounts to take a decision on the petitioner's claim strictly in accordance with the prevailing rules at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

If any amount is found due and payable, the same shall be released in favour of the petitioner without any further delay.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
