Case No.167 of 2025 dated 26.10.2025 under Sections 126(2)/115(2)/118(2)/74/54 of the BNS. And In the matter of:

Anowar Hossain Mr. Sourat Nandy ... for the State Mr. Jahar Lal Roy ... for the de facto complainant Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a quarrel ensued between neighbours. No grievous injury was inflicted.

Learned counsel for the de facto complainant strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and refers to the statements of the victim and eyewitnesses and the injury reports.

It appears that the assault was allegedly made causing lacerated wound on the scalp over the occipital bone and upper eyelid.

Considering the above, the other incriminating materials available in the case diary and the alleged role ascribed to

the petitioner, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
