This is an application for a direction upon the Trial Court for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No. 24/2020 under Section 20(C) of the NDPS Act pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Judge, Special Court (NDPS Act), Hooghly. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he was arrested on 28th May, 2020 by the Police on the allegation that he was in illegal possession of narcotic substance. Police submitted supplementary charge-sheet against accused on 3rd December, 2020. Charge was framed against accused on 21st November, 2021. Thereafter, till date the prosecution failed to examine any witness in support of the charge. Learned Trial Judge is directed to examine the charge-

sheeted witnesss as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months and then come to logical conclusion of the case within one month thereafter.

With the above direction, the instant revision is disposed of. The petitioner is at liberty to act on the server copy of the order.
