The instant writ petition was filed by the petitioner, a member of CISF, challenging the order of transfer passed in the year 2024. The petitioner is serving in his transferred place of posting since 2024. 2.

As the petitioner is due to retire from service in the year 2028, accordingly, he applied before the authority to post him in his home district and the same has been recommended.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that the cause of action for filing the writ petition does not survive at present.

Learned advocate representing the respondent authorities submits that the petitioner was transferred on promotion.

Be that as it may, as it appears that the subsequent prayer of the petitioner seeking transfer to his home district has been considered and recommended by the authority, accordingly, no order is required to be passed in the instant writ petition. The same stands disposed of.

It will be open for the authority to take steps in terms of the recommendation made for posting the petitioner in his home district.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
