Haider ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Suman De Mr. Mujibar Ali Naskar ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that from the possession of the petitioner no.2, 301 gms of heroine were seized and both the petitioners have been detained on such accusations for ten months.

It has been reiterated that no recovery was made from the possession of the petitioner no.1 but since the petitioner no.1 was accompanying with the petitioner no.2, he has been implicated in connection with the instant case. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that commercial quantity of contraband were seized, charge-sheet has already been submitted and the next date is fixed on 17th December, 2025. Having considered the stage of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is Rejected.

However, as it has been informed that copies have already been supplied, consequently, the learned trial court would put in efforts so that on the next date fixed, within a week from the said date, the process of overcoming the consideration of charges be completed. The prosecution would examine the seizure list witnesses on priority basis preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of consideration of charges.

The petitioners would renew their prayer for bail after the examination of the seizure list witnesses is over. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1622 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
