C.R.R. 5078 of 2024 Re: Anant Kumar @ Anand Mr. Subhrajit Dey ... For the Petitioner The petitioner has assailed the order passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court, Haldia in Sessions Trial no. 06(11) of 2019 on 5th October, 2023 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was unable to appear before the learned trial Court on 3rd October, 2023, 4th October, 2023 and 5th October, 2023 for which warrant of arrest was issued against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned trial Court within a fortnight from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned Court within a fortnight from date and files an application for bail, learned trial Court shall deal with the same in accordance with law. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned trial Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

Warrant of arrest issued vide order dated 5th October, 2023 be stayed till 20th March, 2025.

CRR 5078 of 2024 is disposed of.
