For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case no. 1438 of 2010 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Bardhaman, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

This Court is informed that the case is pending since 2010 and witness action has commenced.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. CRR 5090 of 2024 is disposed of.
