Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had approached the learned trial Court within the stipulated time frame but since the learned trial Court was absent, he could not surrender. However, no explanation has been given by the petitioner as to what prevented him from surrendering before the learned Court who was in-charge of the learned trial Court on the relevant date.

Since the petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned trial Court by tomorrow, i.e. February 28, 2025, the time frame for the petitioner to surrender before the learned trial Court is extended by a day.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned trial Court by tomorrow peremptorily, in default, the learned trial Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

CRAN No. 1 of 2025 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
