1. This writ petition, filed as a public interest litigation seeks for information being taken against brick klin operated by the 10th respondent, which according to the petitioner, is an illegal operation.

2. It is submitted that on an earlier occasion, the local public protested and the authorities took action and the activities of the brick klin was stopped. However, now once again they have commenced their activities. In this regard representations have been given and the last of such representations is dated November 18, 2024 to the authorities, more particularly, the SubDivisional Officer, Bashirhat Police District, Bashirhat, North 24-Parganas and since the representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

3. Though the private respondent has been served and affidavit of service has been filed, none appears for the private respondent.

4. Since the writ petition is disposed of without calling for affidavits, allegations are not gone into and it is for the authorities to examine the same. Accordingly, the 6th respondent is directed to consider the representation dated November 18, 2024 given by the petitioner, conduct an inspection of the area and proceed to take appropriate action in accordance with law after notice to the 10th respondent.

5. The petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the representation dated November 18, 2024 along with the copy of this order by personally appearing in the office of the 6th respondent so that the above directions be complied with.

6. These directions shall be complied with within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the representation.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
