1. By way of filing this public interest litigation the petitioner seeks for implementation of the rehabilitation scheme envisaged in the year 2014 for the shop-owners/encroachers, who were removed from the area in question, for the purpose of construction of high-level bridge. It is not clear as to why the authorities have slept over the matter all these years. If the government has taken a policy decision to rehabilitate those displaced encroachers then such rehabilitation policy should be implemented in its letter and sprit.

2. In the light of the above, we direct the concerned authority of the State Government to implement the rehabilitation proposal as proposed by them and complete the entire process within a period of three months from receipt of the server copy of this order.

3. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
