Petitioners are in custody for 185 days. It is submitted victim was a habitual thief. He was assaulted by unknown persons. The petitioner has been falsely implicated in the instant case. They pray for bail.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner nos. 1 and 2 are named in the FIR. Other petitioners were identified by the witnesses in course of T. I. Parade. The bail prayer of co-accused was rejected earlier in August, 2022. Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
