The petitioner complains of continuous threat to his life from the private respondents notwithstanding FIR No. 299 of 2022 dated 11th December, 2022 and investigation is on. All the accused persons except one are on bail.

The petitioner complains that his life is under threat.

The complaint clearly indicates that there was an attempt to kill the petitioner.

In the above circumstances, in the event of any further complaint from the petitioner against the private respondents, a FIR shall be registered against the accused persons shall be taken into custody. The Officer-in-charge, Kamarhati Police Station shall provide security to the petitioner at the latter costs. Two Armed Constables shall be deployed with the petitioner upon payment of necessary costs for a period of one month from the date of deployment. The statement of the petitioner may be recorded by the Investigating Officer of the case. The

investigation may be completed within a period of two months from date.

If the petitioner is dissatisfied with the chargesheet, he may take appropriate steps before the Jurisdictional Magistrate, inter alia, under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The report of the Officer-in-charge, Kamarhati Police Station dated 1st February, 2023 in the form of instructions to the State Advocate be taken on record. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
