The petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of Mat Suit No.3393 of 2024, pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court, Alipore.

This court is of the view that the suit is at its nascent stage and dates have been fixed for filing of the written statement. The time to file an application for maintenance has not expired as yet.

Under such circumstances, a mandatory direction for expeditious disposal of the Mat. Suit cannot be passed. However, the learned court may proceed expeditiously without granting any unnecessary adjournments and make an attempt to dispose of the interim applications, if filed, on an urgent basis.

This court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the proceedings. The learned court

shall proceed independently and in accordance with law.

A copy of the revisional application along with a server copy of this order be served upon the opposite party and/or the learned advocate contesting the matter on behalf of the opposite party in the learned trial court, within a week. The revisional application is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
