The petitioner filed the instant writ petition alleging illegal and unauthorized construction at the behest of the private respondent.

Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that his client does not intend to proceed with the writ petition any further. A written communication has been made by the petitioner to the learned advocate.

In view of the intention expressed by the petitioner, the matter stands dismissed as 'not pressed'. Dismissal of the writ petition will, however, not stand in the way of the respondent authorities to take steps to deal with any unauthorized construction at the subject premises in accordance with law.

The written communication of the petitioner be retained with the records.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
