Report submitted by the officer in charge of Bagdah P.S. do not support the claim of the present petitioner. However, on request of the ld. advocate, an opportunity was granted. Ld. advocate submits that he has been unable to obtain any further document.

The report of the Block Development Officer of Rajarhat Development Block as submitted by Mr. Sandip Chakraborty, ld. advocate for the State, reflects that it would not be possible to ascertain as to whether Ratul Das

as available in the electoral role and the accused Diltosh Rajbongshi are one and the same person.

Under such circumstances, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Ld. trial court is directed to expedite the process of trial as the petitioner is in custody since 13th of November, 2023.

Accordingly, CRM(SB) 221 of 2023 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
