Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner and the report submitted by the State are taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the private respondents who are extremely influential persons have been harassing and misbehaving with the petitioner and physically abusing her for which she is unable to attend her college regularly. The petitioner lodged several complaints before the police authority in this regard which have not been acted upon.

It appears from the report submitted by the State that complaints lodged by the petitioner have been registered as FIR and investigation is in progress. Learned counsel for the private respondents denies and disputes the allegations made by the petitioner. Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf of the parties, this Court directs the Inspector in charge to conduct a fair and impartial investigation and take the same to its logical conclusion in accordance with law. The police authority shall render all necessary

assistance to the petitioner in order to enable her to attend the college as guest lecturer therein. The police shall ensure the safety and security of the petitioner and shall render necessary assistance to her as and when sought. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
