Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner along with others were implicated for recovery of 215 Kgs. of Ganja. Already charge has been framed but witness action has not been started. As such the petitioner has prayed for bail.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the other accused persons who have been released on bail have been granted default bail. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected on two occasions.

Having considered the quantum of seizure, I am of the view that the provisions of Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted.

However, State will put in efforts to expedite the process of trial.

At this stage, CRM (NDPS) 1650 of 2025 is dismissed. Petitioner will renew his prayer for bail at the appropriate stage.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
