The present writ petition has been initiated for seeking compensation under the Victim Compensation Scheme, 2017.

Learned counsel for the SLSA and State appear and state that the victim has already been sanctioned compensation and the same has been paid to the tune of Rs.6 Lakhs.

Report is submitted by SLSA, the same is taken on record. None appears for the petitioner. It seems the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the present writ petition, since he has already received the payment. The same is dismissed for default for non-prosecution.
