1. Report filed by the State is taken on record.

2. Despite service no one appears on behalf of the victim.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that that the petitioner is a neighbour of the victim. He has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She relies on the statement of the victim and the statements of the neighbours to whom the victim had confided about the incident immediately after the occurrence.

5. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
