During the pendency of the instant revision both the petitioner and the opposite party No.2 /de facto complainant have filed a joint petition for compromise stating, inter alia, that the matrimonial

dispute between the opposite party No.2 and the petitioner has been amicably settled and the opposite party No.2 has been staying with the petitioner as his wife happily. A report was called for from the Officer-in-charge of Patuli P.S. requesting him to verify the matter. The said police officer has submitted a report mentioning the same fact that the parties are now residing happily with their children. The report be kept with the record.

In view of amicable settlement of the matrimonial dispute Patuli P.S. Case No. 198 of 2021 under Sections 498A/506 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act corresponding to G.R. Case No. 4587 of 2021 be quashed. The learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore is directed to drop further proceeding of G.R. Case No. 4587 of 2021 in view of amicable settlement of the dispute recorded by this Court. The instant revision and the connected application are, thus, disposed of.
