The petitioners are aggrieved by the order passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Chandannagore, Hooghly on 13th September, 2024 in Sessions case no. 139 of 2016 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against them.

It appears from the record that the examination of the accused/ petitioners under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was held on 27th August, 2024. The petitioners were on bail all throughout and failed to appear before the learned trial Court on 13th September, 2024 without steps for which warrant of arrest was issued against them. The petitioners undertake to surrender before the learned trial Court within seven days from date.

If the petitioners surrender before the learned trial Court within seven days from date, they may be allowed to remain on the same bond.

In the event the petitioners fail to surrender before the learned trial Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned trial Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioners, in accordance with law.

The warrant of arrest issued against the petitioners be stayed till 13th December, 2024.

CRR 5113 of 2024 is disposed of.
