Petitioner is in custody for 58 days. He renews his prayer for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits petitioner has criminal antecedents. A cancellation application has been preferred against bail granted to him in another case in CRM (DB) 4036 of 2022. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner has assaulted the victim brutally on the vital parts of the body. He has criminal antecedents.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
