Petitioners complain that the female folk were being threatened, abused and hurled with filthy languages. To that effect, information was furnished and a criminal case was registered by the police authorities. Subsequently, charge-sheet has already been submitted in connection with the said case. Petitioners submit that they have some grievance in respect of charge-sheet which has been submitted. Learned Advocate for the State has submitted a report which reflects regarding the steps taken by the police authorities and the vigil which has been kept to prevent any untoward incident. Police authorities would continue their surveillance so that

no further untoward incident results or there is any aggression at the behest of any of the parties. Petitioners are aggrieved regarding the charge-sheet which has been filed before the jurisdictional court. To that effect, petitioners would take steps under the relevant provision of the BNSS and the learned Magistrate would assess whether further investigation is required under Section 193(9) of the BNSS.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 28785 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
