1. Eastern Coalfields Limited has filed a report in terms of this Court's order dated 11th December, 2023. The same is taken on record.

2. It appears that the Eastern Coalfields Limited has verified and found correct the area of land and entitlement of the petitioner for a job.

3. It further appears that the land was admittedly acquired and conveyance was executed in favour of the Eastern Coalfields Limited on 5th September, 2022. It also appears that the petitioner may have received compensation but has been without source of employment for more than a year.

4. In those circumstances, this Court directs that employment to the petitioner shall be provided within a period of one month from date mandatorily and positively.

5. The petitioner's employment shall commence from 1st November, 2022. All arrears of pay and allowances shall be paid within a period of two months from the date of actual issuance of letter of appointment and the petitioner's joining.

6. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
