The petitioner is aggrieved by the unfortunate death of her daughter. It is alleged by the petitioner that in course of a raid conducted at the residence of the petitioner, in connection with certain alleged contraband articles, FIR being Nadanghat Police Station Case No.460/22 dated 20th October, 2022 under the provisions of the Copyright Act and sections 420, 406, 34 of the IPC was registered. 2.

After the petitioner's daughter died by hanging, FIR being Nadanghat Police Station Case No.500/22 dated 13th November, 2022 was registered under the provisions of the 306, 34 of the IPC.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 5th January, 2023 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Nadanghat Police Station addressed to the learned State Advocate and the same is taken on record.

Having gone through the detailed report of the Officer-in-Charge, Nadanghat Police Station, this

Court is of the view that the direction of the investigation appears to be in order.

This Court is, however, disappointed that the investigation into the aforesaid two FIRs has not been completed till date. It is ordered that the investigation into the aforesaid two FIRs be completed positively and mandatorily within a period of one month from date and final report be filed before the concerned Judicial Magistrate. 6.

A copy of the report without annexures dated 5th January, 2023 filed by the Officer-in-Charge, Nadanghat Police Station be made available to the counsel for the petitioner.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
