Petitioner approached this Court for a proper investigation to be conducted in respect of a loan account which the petitioner claims he has never applied for.

The police authorities have already registered Goghat Police Station Case No.553 of 2024 dated 07.12.2024 under the relevant provisions of the B.N.S. The police authorities would cross-check regarding the signature, the money trail and would exhaust all the remedy possible for finding out the truth as the LIC Housing Finance Ltd. in its communication to the petitioner has referred to a particular loan account in the name of one Pradip Mallick. However, whether the petitioner and the said Pradip Mallick are one and the

same person is to be unearthed by way of an investigation.

Let the investigation be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA No. 28863 of 2024 is disposed of.

The report submitted by the State be kept with the records.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
