Siddiqui, Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee, Advocates ... for the State Petitioners are the office bearers of Amta Sporting Club as also the residents of the locality who have filed the present petition seeking a direction to the respondents to expedite construction of the stadium (concrete gallery) at Amta Sporting Club ground, Amta, Howrah.
It is pointed out by learned counsel for the petitioners that the work order dated 17.02.2016 has already been issued but till now the construction has not been completed.
At this stage learned counsel for the petitioners has sought liberty to file an appropriate representation before the respondent No.8, District Magistrate, Howrah in respect of expeditious completion of the work and has prayed for a direction to consider the representation within a time bound period.
Learned counsel for the State has no objection to the same.
WPA 30045 of 2017 Hence, we dispose of the present petition by granting liberty to the petitioners to file a detailed comprehensive representation before the respondent No.8, District Magistrate, Howrah. If such a representation is filed, respondent No.8 will duly consider the same and take an appropriate decision in accordance with law in respect of the petitioners' grievance for expeditious completion of the work.
Let this exercise be completed by respondent No.8 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the representation.
The present petition is accordingly disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
