Degree successfully. She applied for the post of Assistant Teacher for a short-term vacancy in Mallickpur Girls' High School (H.S.), Mallickpur, South 24Parganas. The application made by her was allowed and she joined the School as against the short-term vacancy on 8th January, 2018 for a period of six months. But, she was paid honorarium for the last three months that is from 1st April, 2018 to 30th June, 2018, but no honorarium was paid to her from 8th January, 2018 to March 2018. The petitioner made representation to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24-Parganas on 31st March, 2020, but to no effect. Hence, the petitioner by preferring this writ petition seeks direction upon the Authorities concerned to release the aforesaid Honorarium.

Having heard the learned Counsels appearing for the respective parties and on consideration of the documents annexed to the writ petition, I feel that the writ petition may be disposed by passing the following order.

The respondent No. 3, District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24-Parganas is directed to release the arrear honorarium for the period from January 08, 2018 to 31st March, 2018 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum on such amount to be calculated from January 08, 2018 till the actual payment is made within a period of six weeks from

the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid direction the writ petition stands disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties may act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat copy of the order, if applied for, be supplied to the appellant on priority basis on compliance of necessary formalities, on priority basis.
