Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that his client is in custody for more than three years. He contends that he has been falsely implicated in the instant case. There is slow progress in trial. He prays for bail. 2.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and contends that the trial is in progress and number of witnesses have been examined. One of the witness has received threats and a General Diary was recorded. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits. Trial has progressed considerably. One witness has received threat and a General Diary was recorded.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. We, however, direct the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.

The application for bail of the petitioner is, thus, rejected.
