Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that there is no progress in trial. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and contends that the bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected in April, 2023 and trial court was directed to complete trial preferably within two years. He further submits that the trial has progressed considerably. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. Three witnesses have been examined in full and one witness in part. Trial has substantially progressed.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner either on merits or on the ground of delay in trial.
