Matter is taken up for consideration in terms of the order dated 12th February, 2026 when learned advocate representing Principal Accountant General (A & E), West Bengal and Accountant General (A & E), Assam has placed before this Court letter dated 25th February, 2026 issued by Senior Accounts Officer, Indian Audit and Accounts Department, Principal Accountant General (A & E), West Bengal enclosing revised pension payment order dated 25th February, 2026 and other documents, which are taken on record.

On perusal of the letter dated 25th February, 2026, it appears that pursuant to the order passed by this Court revised pension payment order was issued on 25th February, 2026 in favour of the petitioner and

same was forwarded to the Alipore Treasury-I on 25th February, 2026.

Copy of the revised pension payment order dated 25th February, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the State Bank of India.

Since revised pension payment order is issued in favour of the petitioner by the concerned respondent authority, this Court finds there is no impediment in releasing pension at the revised rate.

Concerned respondent authorities including the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Jadavpur University Branch are directed to continue to pay pension to the petitioner at the revised rate in terms of the revised pension payment order dated 25th February, 2026.

With the aforesaid direction writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
