Petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities.

Records reflect that information was sent on 02.12.2024 to the Officerin-Charge, Chanditala Police Station. Surprisingly the writ petition was also affirmed on 02.12.2024. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that police authorities were not granted opportunity also to act on the information so furnished.

In case till date, no steps have been taken by the police authorities, police authorities will inform the petitioners regarding the outcome of the information dated 02.12.2024. If the petitioners are aggrieved by the action of the police authorities, they would approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of law. Learned Magistrate would assess and ascertain regarding the genuinity of the allegations and thereafter pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 28853 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
