Petitioner was aggrieved regarding the inaction of the police authorities and approached this court. Prima facie it reflects that there was a dispute between the present petitioner and the respondents and to that effect an information was furnished with the police authorities in connection with Berhampore Police Station Case No. 105/2021 dated 01.02.2021. Being aggrieved by the outcome of the investigation as one of the accused persons was discharged, petitioner filed Naraji petition, further investigation was carried out and again charge sheet was submitted on or about 31.08.2024 against all the accused persons along with the accused who was earlier discharged. The said case is pending for trial.

Subsequently informations have been furnished with the police authorities in respect of the petitioner being threatened.

The writ petition is of the year 2023. In case the petitioner is apprehensive that she is being threatened at the behest of the accused persons, she would take out an application before the learned Magistrate. Learned Magistrate by following the procedures referred to in the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018 would pass necessary orders.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 28039 of 2023 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
