The instant revisional application has been filed at the behest of the petitioner complainant in C.G.R Case No.1144 of 2014 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alipore. It is submitted by the learned Advocate for the petitioner that the case pertains to an incident which happened in 2014. An FIR was lodged on March 6, 2014. The police took up investigation and on completion of investigation submitted charge-sheet on 02.05.2018 followed by a supplementary charge-sheet on 11.09.2019. Since then the case has been fixed before the Trial Court. Charges are yet to be framed. The copy of the order-sheet of the Trial Court annexed in this application demonstrates that the case was last fixed on January 11, 2025. Before that the case was fixed on October 14, 2025 for service report/execution report of warrant of arrest issued against some of the accused persons and for supply of police copies.

In such circumstances, as evident from materials on records it appears that that the case is fixed for SR/ER/ supply of copies. The case pertains to the year 2014, charges are yet to be framed.

In such circumstances, it would appropriate to request the

learned Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alipore to expedite the hearing of C.G.R Case No.1144 of 2014. No doubt the learned Magistrate shall take all legal steps to secure the attendance of the accused persons and/or speedy splitting up of trial, if so required. With such observation CRR Case No.5393 of 2025 is disposed of.
